Prophet Christopher M. Ekong was born on the 3rd of March in Itiam Ikot Ebia Etoi Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria to Mr. Michael Eyoh Udoekong and Mrs. Igwo Michael Udoekong.

Prophet Ekong is the eldest of eleven brothers and one sister. At an early age his parents were deceased and the responsibility of caring and raising his sibling was his. He worked as a bus-boy in a restaurant and later became an entrepreneur and opened his own take out restaurant. At twenty he responded to the call to meet emerging needs of the people of God. By effectively promoting them from where they are to where they are destined to be through the word of God, with the ultimate goal to empower people to fulfill, their divine destines to close the gap between where they are and where they should be.

In 2001 Prophet Ekong migrated to the United States as a bible student and obtained his degree of B.A. in Psychology from the International College Christian Institute. Prophet Chris Ekong is the founder and the General Overseer of Solution Outreach International Ministries Worldwide. He is a spiritual shepherd to thousands. The ministry had humble beginnings in 1996 with membership of six in Calabar and Uyo, Nigeria the ministry has grown to 15 alone branches in Africa, one in London, UK, one in Italy, and six branches in the United States along with several outreach locations.
